During the years 1990-1995, Trentino saw a development of all and publishing activities regarding glaciers. This was possible to the commitment of operators from CGI, CAI Trento (SAT) and from other public and private institutions (Province of Trento, Museum of Natural Sciences, Provincial Natural Parks, ENEL). The report describes the structure of the research in Trentino, the main works carried out in the last five years (with the introduction of new technologies), the organization and the initiatives promoted by the Committee of SAT. Particular attention is reserved to the activities of the «Payer» Study Center in Adamello and to the characteristics of the filing system on the glaciers of Trentino,specially designed to this purpose.
