Author Guidelines

All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included in the submission, such as photos, documents, and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk-reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Manuscript Submission

Submit your manuscript via the guided online submission system, providing all required information and files. Remember to include a cover letter that briefly outlines the significance of your research and any relevant information for the editors.

Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review by experts in the field. Two referees (at least) indicated by the Editorial Board will review the submitted paper. Acceptance or rejection of a paper is the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief on the basis of the comment supplied by reviewers.

The short communications will be reviewed only by one Referee.

Decision Notification: Authors will be notified of the editorial decision, which may include revisions or further clarifications.

After acceptance: The author (s) will receive one or two sets of page proofs in PDF format to be checked for typos. No major edit will be permitted at this stage. The material must be returned to the publisher in ten days.

Copyright: All articles accepted for publication become the copyright of the Journal.

Ethical Considerations: Submission of an article is understood to imply that the article is original and unpublished and is not considered for publication elsewhere.

Plagiarism will be checked with appropriate tools also based on AI. Ensure that your manuscript is original and properly cites all sources. The Editor-in-Chief will reserve the right to reject or ask for major modifications if the level of similarity exceeds the acceptable threshold.

Conflicts of Interest should be declared. If any conflict of interest exists, Authors should clearly state it with the sentence: “Any use of trade, firm, or product names is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply endorsement by the involved universities. The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest.”.

Ethical Approval if applicable, Authors should provide details of ethical approval for research involving human or animal subjects.

Contact Information: For inquiries and additional information, please contact the editorial office at [journal@email.com].

Gold open access publication fee

To facilitate gold open access, this journal implements a publication fee, referred to as the Article Publishing Charge (APC), which is the responsibility of the authors, their affiliated institutions, or their funding bodies for each article published. This practice guarantees that your article will be promptly and permanently accessible to all.

The APC for Geografia Fisica e Dinamica Quaternaria commences at EUR 250, exclusive of taxes. It is important to note that this APC serves as the foundational cost and may fluctuate based on the inclusion of color figures in the printed version of the manuscript. However, in instances where color figures are exclusively available online, no additional charges will be incurred.
