Temperatures in Italy and generally in the northern hemisphere are in increasing since the past century. During the 1952-88 period, a slight increase between 1952 and 1962, a decrease until the end of the 70’s and a sharp increase between 1980 and 1988 are noticed. In the Pian Rosà station, the increase in temperatures during the last period (1980-88) has been very little, in comparison with the national one.
