Legal nature of glaciers: property and environmental protection

Abstract

We are concern with the question of the property of glaciers from the unity of Italy up to today. The discipline and doctrinal debate of the past is compared to regional and State regulation in force at present with particular regard to the latest legislative innovation. We have come to the conclusion that glaciers are State property and intend to illustrate the consequences this implies. Finally we schematically describe the rules of environment tutelage that can be suitably applied to protect glaciers.
