Abstract

This chronological scheme of the Quaternary has a three-fold objective: to provide a reference point for some investigations, to present a schematic didactic framework and to offer a base of discussion and revision. The scheme is subdivided into three parts, concerning mainly Italy and Europe, and is drawn from bibliographic data and personal research.
