Report on the current geomorphological research on the Mt. Cevedale (Central Alps, Italy)

Abstract

After a short introduction about the purposes, the activities and the history of the CNR Geomorphology Group, the work carried out during a stage of geomorphological survey and cartography is here presented. The stage organization and the development of the thematic research are explained. The latter concern: Glaciology and Climatology, glacial and periglacial Morphology, structural Geomorphology, geomorphological survey and mapping, Palinology and anthropic activities. Of these subjects, the scientific problems and the results up to now achieved are expounded together with the aims proposed.
